At Open Bible Christian Academy, you will encounter an environment where your student will find opportunities for academic achievement, personal growth, athletic accomplishments, and the pursuit of individual interests. Our small teacher-to-student ratio fosters relationships that go far in the development of intellectual skills and Christian character.

 

 

The ultimate goal of OBCA  is to prepare students to make an impact on the world professionally and spiritually. At OBCA, your middle school/high school student will be challenged to excellence, and a commitment to represent Christ in his or her daily life. The middle school/high school chapel program and Bible/Character Education curriculum help students grow in an understanding of God’s Word and His truth, which will provide guidance for the rest of their lives. 

 


The middle / high school offers:

  • A commitment to academic excellence as part of preparation for life.

  • A curriculum based on Biblical truth presented in a Christian environment (BJU Press).

  • Exacting standards for spiritual growth which are manifested in Christian behavior.

  • Required hours in community service to promote practice in the Christian lifestyle.

  • Standardized testing (CTBS, PSAT, and SAT).

  • A college preparatory curriculum designed to meet or exceed all the academic standards of the State of Maryland and/or the Association of Christian Schools International.

  • College and career counseling to enhance opportunities in achieving success in the working world. Includes assistance with the college selection process, scholarship applications and FAFSA preparation.

  • STEM Program for career preparedness.

  • Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced online instruction in computer technology.

  • Spanish classes to meet the foreign language requirement for college entrance.

  • Instrumental lessons and participation in band, praise team, and handbells.

  • Physical education classes and a variety of athletic programs for boys and girls.

  • Students may attend community college classes during senior year.
